What 2019 has taught me about life, people, dating, and myself.
At the end of every “Year in Review” mega-post, I compile a list of all the major Life Lessons I’ve learned that year. For 2019, I realized that this list ended up becoming longer than the rest of the blog post. Therefore, I decided to separate them out as a sort of addendum to the main post.
In compiling these lessons, I noticed they fell into 4 major categories and have grouped them accordingly:
Principles of Life and Growth
What I’ve Learned About Myself
People Skills & Leadership
Dating & Relationships
Feel free to skip to the sections most interesting or relevant to you. Or just go through them all if you’re feeling in the “personal development” mood today.
Best dating advice compilation from 3 top books on relationships, attraction, and seduction.
The theme of the month for October was “Dating, Attraction, and Relationships“, so I decided to choose three of the top books I could find on these subjects.
The goal was by the end of it, I could analyze the common themes among the books and synthesize a high-level guide for anyone currently in the dating scene, or maybe just feeling like they need some advice on how to navigate relationships.
We all know that this can be one of the most emotionally exhausting parts of our life so it’s good to get some insights from people who may have way more expertise than us in these areas.
“Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one, a process of connecting with women rather than impressing them. It’s the most mature and honest guide on how a man can attract women without faking behavior, without lying and without emulating others. A game-changer. Inside, you’ll learn:
The root behavior that causes all female attraction.
Why typical dating advice and pick up theory is counter-productive in the long-run.
How to overcome nervousness and anxiety around attractive women.
How any man can make himself appear attractive with a little time and effort.
The three keys to keeping conversations with women interesting and engaging.
How to discover the beliefs and attitudes that are sabotaging your success with women.
How to develop a genuine and joyful sense of humor.” -Audible
“One of the most admired men in the world of seduction” ( The New York Times) teaches average guys how to approach, attract, and begin intimate relationships with beautiful women.
For every man who always wondered why some guys have all the luck, Mystery, considered by many to be the world’s greatest pickup artist, finally reveals his secrets for finding and forming relationships with some of the world’s most beautiful women. Mystery gained mainstream attention for his role in Neil Strauss’ New York Times best-selling expose The Game. Now he has written the definitive handbook on the art of the pickup.
“Unveiled at last, a simple proven playbook to go from being a frustrated single man to having the woman of your dreams.
“When I discovered this strategy, I was initially scared to share it with the world. I didn’t want to become a dating coach and the stigma associated with that. However, I knew I had to write this. I was frustrated with all the pain I saw inside men stopping them from getting the women of their dreams. I’d been there, and I wish I’d known this strategy earlier.”
You’ll learn how to turn the number one barrier stopping men from chasing the women of their dreams, fear of rejection, into your ally. You’ll completely eradicate approach anxiety from your psyche forever, and most importantly you’ll acquire the number one trait that women find most attractive.” -Audible
When raised to the level of art, seduction, an indirect and subtle form of power, has toppled empires, won elections, and enslaved great minds. The Art of Seduction synthesizes the legacies of civilization’s greatest seducers – from Cleopatra to JFK – with the philosophies of important intellectuals on the subject, including everyone from Freud to Kierkegaard and Ovid to Casanova, and the classic literature of seduction. Robert Greene identifies the rules of a timeless, amoral game and explores how to cast a spell, break down resistance, and, ultimately, compel a target to surrender. The Art of Seduction is an indispensable primer on the essence of one of history’s greatest weapons and the ultimate form of power.
