Solo Leveling, Vol. 6 by Chugong

Synopsis:

“MAY ALL THAT YOU WISH TO PROTECT BURN TO ASHES…”

Having witnessed the staggering power of the Shadow Monarch, Jinwoo can’t wait to level up and reach those heights, and what better way to do so than to mobilize his army of soldiers against an S-rank dungeon’s worth of giants?

Saving a country abandoned by the rest of the world has its benefits—international renown, the expansion of his guild, an invitation to the most prestigious hunter conference in the world—but perhaps the most unexpected bonus is a run-in with another Monarch who brings not-so-welcome tidings. If he’s to be believed, a war is coming that not even Jinwoo is strong enough to stop…” -Audible

Opening thoughts:

Key notes:

Chapter 1: Arrival in Japan

Jinwoo travels to Japan to confront rampaging giant magic beasts terrorizing islands and the mainland. His arrival provides hope to survivors, and he negotiates rights to claim all beast remains for himself

Chapter 2: Giant Beast Hunt

He orchestrates a large-scale S-Rank hunter operation. Jinwoo and his shadow army eliminate massive beasts, showcasing his divine authority and strategic dominance. The dungeon boss was a monarch, the King of Giants, captured by the Rulers and answered Jinwoo’s questions. He told him that the magic beasts were captives of the Monarchs’ armies and sent to Earth to slowly fill it with mana. This was in preparation for the war that was to come between the Rulers and the Monarchs. Jinwoo killed the king of giants and saved all of Japan. Public morale is lifted by his triumph.

Chapter 3

Jinwoo spent his time before the international conference helping to raid high-ranked gates all over decimated Japan that the guilds there couldn’t manage

Chapter 4

Jinwoo came to America and wanted to see the remains of Camish, the most powerful magic beast that only 5 national-level hunters could take down

Chapter 5

Dongsu kidnapped Jinho, which started a conflict between the Scavenger Guild and Jinwoo. Jinwoo almost killed Dongsu before Thomas Andre came to stop him

Chapter 6

Jinwoo defeated Thomas easily, who almost died, and would have died 10 times over if he weren’t a National-level hunter. Beru healed Jinho, and Jinwoo named the shadow extracted from Dongsu “Greed”

Chapter 7

The hunters association shared the info that someone was hunting hunters

Chapter 8

Jinho was moved to tears when he read the article about Jinwoo defeating the entire scavenger guild to save him. Jinwoo assigned shadow soldiers to the top hunters that the command center asked him to protect

Chapter 9

The Frost Monarch killed President Go, and Jinwoo was unable to save him

Chapter 10

Three of the monarchs agreed to team up and kill Jinwoo

Closing thoughts:

Finally, the Monarchs have entered the chat.

Nutshell:

Jinwoo enters the international stage as he helps Japan and attends the international conference.
